- + Jabberwok (M1)
A new innovation from the Split special weapons clan, the Jabberwok is the replacement for their old G'Quan carrier. During initial testing of the prototype, the Split conducted a series of "stealth" excercises in various Terran sectors, and the ATF gave the phantom ship the nickname of Jabberwok. The Jabberwok represents a significant shift in Split capital ship design, as it carries significantly heavier armor than the norm. Through the use of experimental hull alloys, the Split designers were able to produce a speedy and agile M1 with excellant hull strength. The Jaberwok carries 4 less ships than the G'Quan (68 vs 72)), but has a slightly stronger hull. With 9x1GJ shielding, and significant anti-fighter protection spread across 40 laser emplacements, the Jabberwok is one of the most powerful capital ships currently available from any race.
+ Xiuhcoatl (M2)
The designated replacement for the still powerful, but aging Python, the new Split Xiuhcoatl Strike Destroyer is an engineering masterpiece that is perhaps the Rhonkar Testing Institute's greatest achievement. Faster and more maneuverable than any other Commonwealth M2, Xiuhcoatl fully embodies the Split devotion to operational mobility, and can use her superior speed to decide the time and place she will engage...or break contact...with enemy destroyers. Unique among any other destroyers in the galaxy, she carries the sophisticated targeting hardware necessary to launch the Flail barrage missle, giving her superlative stand-off anti-fighter capabilities. She can also launch other heavy anti-ship missles, enabling her to soften up or neutralize destroyer opponents before closing to direct fire weapon range. Like the other ultra-modern designs produced in recent jazuras by the Rhonkar Testing Institute, she is fitted to carry an unusually broad array of captured and reverse-engineered foreign weaponry, as well as experimental beam weaponry. Her roomy cargo bay can support long patrols. She is best used in numbers to quickly overwhelm smaller groups of enemy capital ships, as her relatively weak shielding and laser strength makes her unsuited to endure protracted fleet engagements. The new Split Heavy Hitter, the fast and versatile Xiuhcoatl has Commonwealth naval circles in an uproar.
+ Naga (M7)
When the Boron Thresher M7 was developed to counter the Split Tiger M7, the crack engineering teams of the fabled Rhonkar Testing Institute were put back to work to produce the ultimate Strike Frigate. In record time they produced the Split Naga, the "Frigate of the future". Faster and more maneuverable than the Tiger class she will eventually replace, Naga, like most newly designed Split warships is specially fitted to mount advanced alien weaponry like Kha'ak Kyon beam weapons, as well as many Terran weapons, and advanced weapon systems being produced by the lesser Commonwealth races. Her offensive power is concentrated in a larger version of Tiger's fixed-frontal battery, but unlike Tiger's is capable of mounting exotic, long-range weapon varieties like Gauss Cannons, Ion Cannons and Point Singularity Projectors. Her anterior Right and Left turrets are larger versions of those found on Tiger, and can also mount captured and experimental weapon types. Her small dorsal, ventral, and back turrets are primarily for fighter defense. Due to the current Split shortage of most foreign and experimental weapon types, Naga class vessels must usually settle for less effective conventional weaponry, which somewhat limits their effectiveness. But even armed with conventional Split weaponry, the Naga class is now arguably the most powerful strike frigate in the galaxy.
+ Anaconda (M6P)
Another new design from the fabled Rhonkar Testing Institute, the unusual Split Anaconda Heavy Corvette fills a Hybrid Jager/Flak role. created to be the "Corvette of the future", the Anaconda class is specially fitted to mount advanced alien weaponry like Kha'ak Kyon beam weapons, as well as many Terran weapons, and advanced weapon systems being produced by the lesser Commonwealth races. While her fixed-frontal battery is small, it can also mount a few very heavy weapons, like the IBL, giving her long-range punch. She mounts FAA's in her back turret for excellent rear arc fighter defense. Equipped with many of the same advanced shield and weapons generators as the Heavy Dragon, the Anaconda--like most Split designs--is still somewhat overgunned, and must manage weapon energy very carefully. Due to the current Split shortage of most advanced weapon types, the Anaconda must usually settle for less effective conventional weaponry, which somewhat limits her effectiveness.
+ Rhino (TL)
Currently the fastest TL class ship in the galaxy, the new Split "Rhino" Heavy Transporter is the technologically superior replacement to the battle-proven Elephant TL. Slightly smaller than Elephant, the Rhino uses advanced cargo compression technology to carry nearly as much cargo as Elephant, at a comparable cost. Rhino also has 40% more shielding, as well as superior organo-ceramic armoring. Capable of mounting a mix of Gauss Cannons, Flak Cannons, and short range anti-fighter weapons like Mass Drivers, Rhino is capable of neutralizing multiple threat types. Rhino also has access to experimental weapons types, as well as many Terran weapons and missiles. Having access to ammo-based weaponry like GC’s and MD’s means that Rhino class vessels will not be hamstrung by shortages of weapons energy - perhaps the greatest combat weakness of older TL class vessels. Unlike any other TL class vessel, Rhino has a boarding pod launcher, giving her the capability to directly participate in boarding operations. A versatile ship for modern Split fleet commanders, the Rhino classes’ only real weakness is her small fighter bay, which is less than half the size of the current Split Elephant.
+ Gorgon (M3P)
Alarmed by the growing strength of Argon Fighter Command, and of Argon anti-fighter Flak Ships like the new Charon M7, the Split have finally countered with a smaller M3+ sized anti-fighter Gunship of their own. Designed by the legendary engineers at the Rhonkar Testing Institute, the Gorgon M3+ Gunship is nothing more than a giant flyswatter, purpose-built to wade into formations of incoming enemy fighters and missiles - and annihilate them. Slower than any other Split M3 or M3+ because of her heavy armoring and powerful shield emitters; the Gorgon can barely keep up with the Dragon Corvette. Usually armed with four Plasma Burst Generators in her fixed-frontal battery, Gorgon is a "fire-breather", thus her name. But her main offensive strength is in her three turrets, which when loaded with PBE’s will quickly shred enemy shields. Heavily armored and strongly shielded, Gorgon can absorb enormous amounts of damage while she consumes her prey. Her only weaknesses are her sluggish helm, and managing her energy-hungry weaponry. Like most current generation Split vessels, she is capable of mounting exotic foreign weaponry; if she can find it.
+ Cylon Raider Mk2 (M3)
Released by the Rhonkar Testing Institute just before the Advanced Mamba, the new Split Cylon Raider Mk1 M3 class Heavy Fighter is a revolutionary Heavy Interceptor built to carry the mysterious and powerful Kha'ak Alpha-Kyon beam weapon, but can also use black market Terran EMPC's. Rumored to be alien in nature, the Cylon Raider series certainly looks unlike any past Split designs. Equipped with the same advanced shield and weapons generators as the Advanced Mamba, the M3 Cylon is not nearly as fast or as well shielded, sacrificing both for a back turret. When her six front-firing hardpoints are armed with Alpha-Kyons as intended, the M3 Cylon is the premier medium and heavy fighter hunter in the Split Fleet. However, with Split reverse-engineered Alpha-Kyons in notoriously short supply, the M3 Cylon must often settle for less effective conventional weaponry, seriously compromising her potential usefulness.
+ Venom (M4P)
The newest design release by the Rhonkar Testing Institute, the Venom M4+ class medium fighter is intended to replace the disappointing Split Asp M4+, which has proved substantially inferior to Argon Elite and OTAS Solano M4+ variants. Equipped with many of the same advanced shield and weapons generation components as the M4 class Scorpion Prototype to reduce costs and improve interoperability, the M4+ Venom is both faster than the Asp, and carries twice the shielding. More importantly, she comes equipped with eight fixed-frontal weapon slots instead of six, and a belly anti-missile turret. Intended primarily as a low weapons-energy firing platform for Energy Bolt Chaingun weapons, the Venom can also frontally mount Mass Drivers and the Terran EMPC weapon. Being an ammunition-dependant design poses some risk, which the Venom more than makes up for with her excellent defensive capabilities and her affordable price. Intended as a low cost ship to fatten up Split carrier fighter complements, the Venom is best used for hunting enemy heavy fighters and corvettes.
+ Cylon Raider Mk1 (M4)
Released by the Rhonkar Testing Institute just after the legendary Scorpion Prototype, the new Split Cylon Raider Mk1 M4 class Medium Fighter is a revolutionary Interceptor built to carry the mysterious and powerful Kha'ak Alpha-Kyon beam weapon, but can also use black market Terran EMPC's. Rumored to be alien in nature, the Cylon Raider series certainly looks unlike any past Split designs. Equipped with the same advanced shield and weapons generators as the Scorpion Prototype, the M4 Cylon is not nearly as fast, sacrificing speed for considerably stronger shielding. When her four hardpoints are armed with Alpha-Kyons as intended, the M4 Cylon is the premier light and medium fighter hunter in the Split Fleet. However, with Split reverse-engineered Alpha-Kyons in notoriously short supply, the M4 Cylon must often settle for less effective conventional weaponry, seriously compromising her potential usefulness.

+ S'Rakk Hauler (M5P)
The fastest armed Scout in the galaxy, the new Split S’Rakk M5+ Class Scoutship also has the greatest cargo capacity. But S’Rakk-Split for "bejeweled dagger"-is by Split standards virtually unarmed. With only two frontal weapon slots and weapons energy around half of most Jaguar variants, S’Rakk is weak indeed. But S’Rakk’s greatest military asset is her blindingly fast speed, which enables her to spy on enemy formations with little risk of interception. Her very large cargo capacity combined with her awesome speed also makes S’Rakk the finest light courier in the galaxy. While only lightly armed, S’rakk can mount ammo-based weapons like Mass Drivers and EBC’s to offset her weak weapons generator. She can also use an extended variety of heavier missle types than other scouts. The moderately priced S’Rakk has set the new galactic standard for light recon and courier capabilities.
+ Cottonmouth (TP)
Costing as much as a light corvette, the small Split Cottonmouth YT-1300 Assault Transport can earn that sum many times over in the hands of a competent pilot. Enemy corvettes, TM's and TL's are her preferred prey, and with a supporting fighter or two to take down a target's shields, all a Cottonmouth has to do is swoop in and launch her complement of marines to capture a high-value prize. To this end Cottonmouth class vessels are very fast and well shielded to survive enemy fire on their approach run, and unlike conventional TP's have fighter-sized weapons generators for defensive turrets, as well as a frontal Ion Disrupter battery. Properly assisted, a Cottonmouth is an outstanding capture specialist, despite her less than roomy hull and high price tag.

+ Banded Krait (TM)
A cross between a TM and a Super-freighter, the Split Krait Military Supply Transport is another outstanding product of the Rhonkar Testing Institute. With internal hangar space for eight fighters, staterooms to house fighter crews and a sizeable marine contingent, heavy shielding, a decent turn of speed, a super-frieighter sized cargo hold, and excellent anti-fighter defensive capabilities, the Krait is a very versatile heavy transport that bridges the gap between the lighter and frailer Caiman class freighters, and the massive TL class vessels like the Mastodon. Designed to support light recon and raiding detachments in enemy space, the Krait makes a perfect base ship for such purposes.
+ Water Moccasin Freighter (TS)
The new Split Water Moccasin Armored Supply Ship was originally designed as a battlefield ammunition resupply carrier, with a durable armored hull to keep out Argon mass driver fire. In peacetime she makes a scrappy, multipurpose frontier transport that can handle herself in a fight. Faster than any of the Caiman freighter variants, her speed enables her to break contact with many potential pursuers. An extremely well-armed ship, she has four light turrets for missile and light fighter defense, powered by a weapons generator uncharacteristically large for a TS class vessel. She can carry a fairly wide array of Split anti-fighter and anti-ship missiles, giving her excellent long range punch. An excellent ship for the price, the Water Moccasin class is becoming a common sight in Split Border Systems.
+ Krait (TS-SF)
The Split Krait is the largest SuperFreighter class ship ever built. Really a "pocket TL" or TS/TL hybrid, she is the only non-TL class vessel capable of carrying station-class cargo. This means that she can carry station class cargo, but would need to transfer said cargo to a proper TL for deployment. Like most Split ships she is heavily armed, mounting three quadruple "light flak" turrets, as well as a rear Flak Artillery Array turret, and a fixed forward battery of Ion anti-shield weapons. Krait can also carry two M3 class ship or smaller externally for scouting, cargo transfer, or defense. While slower than the much larger Elephant class heavy transporter, Krait is faster than all other Split Super Freighters. Heavily shielded for a Split TS-class vessel, she is not very maneuverable. Costing about a third most standard sized TL's, the Krait is still excellent value for a ship of her size and defensive capabilities.
